Hey Ryan, back again with another question. First, I'm going into unchartered waters here, doing a K24 swap in my 3g Prelude. It's been attempted but not finished due to other projects, so I've decided to be the one to finish in this chassis. Going to be sick. I'm doing a '06/'07-spec K24A2 with DC5R transmission. Will this be a good setup, or do I need the TSX or RSX Type S trans? I know the DC5R comes off of a high-revving motor, but the 24 revs nothing like a K20. Will that be a bad swap? Also, will DC5R pistons work in a K24A2, and if so, can the factory rods handle that compression? Thanks for the info and responding.

A K24 swap into that generation Prelude will be a very cool setup. Yes, the DC5R transmission is your best bet if you are looking for a quick-revving, all-motor, close ratio setup. If you are looking for different compression pistons, I suggest a quality aftermarket set. I understand you want to bump compression, but you need to use pistons designed for your block. The rods are fine, they are super small, and the bearing journals are thin, but you can't really get away from that unless you widen the crank journals and get aftermarket rods. It's fine as is for a simple, reliable, all-motor setup!

Hi, I'm building an SFWD drag car and wanted to know what are the best sensors to use with a MoTeC ECU?

What MoTeC ECU are you using would be my first question. Next would be what engine do you have and how much data do you want to monitor? Let's say you have an M800 model ECU from MoTeC, and let's assume you have a B Series engine and you want to monitor enough data to hang with the big boys ...

The first and most important thing is a Lambda sensor. This monitors air/fuel ratios in the engine. MoTeC suggests a NTK sensor. Next, you will want to monitor the engine vitals like oil pressure, fuel pressure, manifold(s) pressure, water pressure, and a few temperatures like water, air and oil, just to name a few of the most important. You will also want to upgrade your ignition system with independent coils for each cylinder. I suggest Honda RSX coils as people have had a lot of great success with them. At the same time, you'll want to upgrade your triggering system, the factory distributor sensors are a MAG signal and are old technology, the T1 Race Development or AEM EPM are your best bets as they use a more modern HALL sensor. Some choose to monitor their exhaust gas temperatures as well. MoTeC has an awesome CAN-driven unit that makes life really easy. Last but not least, on a tried-and-tested setup you will want to use a spare digital input and wire-up a rear wheel speed sensor. Again, I suggest a HALL sensor for its accuracy and quality.

Hey Ryan, Orlando here. I'm having a serious issue. I'm from Jamaica and have a '02 Accord Euro R CL1, but I can't find anyone who does an aftermarket suspension. If you know anyone who does, I'd greatly appreciate it!

That's really tricky, Orlando. I had to do a search on that one and it looks like there is a company that makes a full body coilover called Racing Logic. There is also another UK company called Meisterr. I would start there and see what you come up with on quality and longevity. From the looks of it, the suspension geometry is the same as the '96-02 U.S. model Accord. If that's correct, it should broaden your options for your suspension hunt. Best of luck finding what you are looking for.
