1996 Chrysler Sebring
Chad Greever knows what it's like to be left in the cold. With his '96 Sebring, he's got the fusion of American steel with Japanese engineering in the form of a Mitsubishi 2.0-liter DOHC engine. Since there's not a big aftermarket for this particular combination, Greever has done all he can to make do with what he's got.

For starters, there's an HP Racing cold air intake, along with Accel spark plug wires and Denso Iridium spark plugs under the hood. An Arospeed header and dual-outlet stainless-steel muffler both handle exhaust duties. Rollers consist of 16-inch American Racing wheels wrapped with Goodyear RS-As.

Entertainment comes by means of a Pioneer head unit connected to a Punch amp. The amp powers two Pioneer 12-inch subs, along with 5.25-inch Fosgate Fanatic door speakers, Fosgate tweeters and Infinity 6x9s in the rear deck.

Tyrone Francis
Rosedale, N.Y.

1994 Honda Prelude Si
Prelude owners need some good lovin' from time to time. Tyrone Francis combs through every car magazine desperately searching for features and tech stories on Preludes. We hope this helps fulfill his needs for the time being.

Under the hood lies a DC Sports header, an AEM intake and underdrive pulleys, Weapon R fuel pressure regulator and a custom 2.25-inch cat-back exhaust. Suspension mods include Tokico struts with Neuspeed springs, which achieve a drop of 1.75-inches. Rolling stock consists of 17x7 ADR Revolutions wrapped in 205/40R-17 Nitto 450s.

For looks, Francis relies on a "Touring" spoiler along with clear taillights and bumper lenses. The lighting department is enhanced with a set of PIAA super white headlights. Inside, tunes pump through a JVC head unit with 12-disc CD changer. In the future, Francis hopes to add a VTEC head with Type S cams and pistons.

Gary Jones
Hazelwood, Mo.

1992 Ford Escort Gt
Gary Jones is proof that the performance bug doesn't just affect the 18-35 age bracket. At the wee age of 60, he's decided to try his hand at modifying a car commonly left high and dry-the Ford Escort GT.

First off, he's honed, rebuilt and completely balanced the engine block. Then he milled the head and gave it a three-angle valve job. A set of adjustable cam gears helps fine-tune valvetrain events. To get the exhaust flowing freely, a custom header, high-flow cat and cat-back exhaust are in place. To light off the air/fuel mixture, an Accel ignition and coil were brought in to feed a set of Bosch plugs through Moroso wires. A K&N filter and open air box free up some of the restriction along the intake tract.

In terms of suspension, a set of lowering springs along with a front strut tower brace and anti-roll bars keep things nice and tight. A set of Prime wheels, sized 15x7-inches comprise the car's running gear. For future plans, Jones is planning to have the Ford EEC-IV reprogrammed to suit handle any other mods he's going to throw at the Escort. Furthermore, he's been eyeing up Foci, ZX-2s and Miatas to see if there's anything he can adapt to his Blue Oval.
