If you didn't know what Link Engine Management is but happen to be a fan of American pro drifting and/or time attack, consider this news your introduction. Over the past couple days we heard from both Formula DRIFT and Global Time Attack that each has a new partner for the coming season, and that support is coming from the New Zealand-based ECU and tech outfit.

In Formula D, Link has inked a two-year title sponsorship deal for the Pro 2 Championship; an arrangement that will allow expanded live stream coverage and dedicated social media for FD's farm league. In GTA, Link will be the official ECU of the time trials series for the 2018 competition season.

While it may not be a household name in the US (yet), Link has been developing engine management solutions for a variety of vehicle platforms — from street cars to race cars — for some 25 years. Its range of products includes PlugIn and WireIn ECUs, software, and more, and over 1,500 dealers currently sell Link ECUs in 65 countries. It also boasts a fair amount of involvement with various drivers and teams, such as Worthouse Drift super-duo Piotr Wiecek and 2017 FD driver's champion James Deane, as well as series around the world, like the British and Irish Drift Championships, ADGP Australia, D1NZ, D1GP China, and others.
