TECHART's GTstreet RS

Giving the 911 Turbo S the potent TECHART treatment

Well known around the globe for churning out some of the most impressive performance and aesthetic pieces for various models of Porsche, TECHART is set to unleash yet another masterpiece.

  |   TECHART Gtstreet RS Active Wing

The starting point of TECHART's GTstreet RS lies in the capable hands of the 911 Turbo S, of which only 10 examples will be created. Aggressive cuts and angles come courtesy of the industry's newest and most beloved lightweight material, forged design carbon fiber. Unlike the uniform, woven design that you're used to, forged carbon patterns are far more unruly, giving the finished product an organized chaotic effect. In this instance, TECHART uses the dashing material on the car's front spoilers, one of which is active in order to encourage airflow to the water and oil coolers using extra air intakes that converge in a central outlet. Just above the downforce combo are indicator lights, which feature a forged carbon surround flanked by a group of canards.

No need to worry about smashing that pricey front fascia as an optional lift system for the front end is available and provides 60mm of insurance. Another area of note is the three rear windows all produced in Corning's lightweight Gorilla Glass—yes, the same glass used to protect your smartphone and the iPad that your children have viciously taken over.

  |   TECHART Gtstreet RS Carbon Hood

Look north of the bumper and find the ultra-lightweight vented carbon hood that uses NACA ducts to direct air down to the braking system and, if you look closely, the model number of each of the 10 GTstreet RS builds is etched into the hood itself.

On either side of the hood you'll find overtly vented fenders just above the fender flares that slope down and connect to side diffusers, which pour into rear over fenders, all in forged carbon, of course.

The unique carbon treatment spills over to the center-locking, forged 20-inch TECHART Formula IV wheels wrapped in 265/35 front and 325/30 rear Michelin Sport Cup 2.

On the rear of the 911 is where you'll find an active wing that, in performance mode, extends before seeing a 15-degree adjustment. There's more "airplay" involved with a ram air scoop on the rear lid that works in conjunction with larger air outlet ports not only in search of engine air supply but a more efficient rush through the intercoolers. The additional air is needed with the 190hp (now 770hp) increase that TECHART's GTstreet RS Powerkit provides thanks to newly developed VTG turbos that push spent gases through a quartet of titanium exhaust finishers that feature a pneumatic flap adjustment to control the sound output.

  |   TECHART Gtstreet RS Front Seats

Step foot inside the cabin and you're greeted by the alcantara and leather surfaces that you would expect from a premium product but they're joined by a newcomer in the form of virgin wool.

Clients are able to select their own color for items like the drive mode switch, PDK gear selector and vents in order to personalize, and to carry essentials on your next trip to The 'Ring, TECHART includes a collection of handcrafted goods that include a helmet with matching bag and a document wallet all adorned in the GTstreet RS materials and colors with the serial number for the accompanying model.

As stated, TECHART will produce but 10 models for 10 lucky individuals. The official unveiling of the model takes place at Geneva Motor Show in March.
