Honda Day 4, Thailand

More badass Honda's from Southeast Asia

Apr 16, 2017
Photographer: Chad Burdette

If you're a regular Honda Tuning digital follower, whether here on the website or via social media, you've no doubt noticed an influx of features and event coverage coming out of Thailand. Street cars, track cars, and motorsport happenings have really caught our attention over the last year, and with our triggerman Chad Burdette living in Thailand currently, we have some solid access.

Over the weekend, like clockwork, I got a familiar message from Chad that he's just returned from yet another Thai event with some great builds on hand. Recently, he'd covered the Super Series event for me on the pbskids channel and just before that, Souped Up '17 for both pbskids and HT. This event, however, was Honda-specific and hosted some very nicely built cars.

Sponsored by Moty's Oil and Toyo of Thailand, Honda Day 4 took place at Bangkok's Drag Avenue. There was race action throughout the day that saw some cars clocking 10-second passes, with the potential for much more, but as Chad noted there was virtually no track prep. In stark contrast to the lengthy prep process that takes place on U.S. strips, this is more of a "run what you brung" and adapt to the track. Here's a look at some of the best Honda builds that showed up.

This large turbo with a Honda attached to it definitely stood out.

K-swap the world: even Chevy Sonic owners know a good thing when they see it.

Both of these ITB single-cam setups look great. Obviously the green EF isn't quite finished yet, but we like what where this is headed (save the SOHC!)

  |   Honda Day 4 Thailand B Series Swapped Cirx

We're not sure why the car is sitting so high, but this Mugen-equipped CR-X will be stunning once completed. The ITB and coil-over-plug converted B-series sits inside of a nicely shaved bay.

Stripped and slicked, this EF sedan with SiR bumper is ready for battle.

  |   Honda Day 4 Thailand K Swaped Toyota Vitz

Sure, it's a mild-mannered Toyota on the outside, but the K-swap on the inside makes it a contender.

  |   Honda Day 4 Thailand Integra Type R

Wingless ITR making its way down the track - the old-school builds came out in force, but newer models, like this DC5, made their mark as well.

  |   Honda Day 4 Thailand K Swapped Honda Brio

With a bay as clean as this K-powered Brio drag car, you're going to need a clear hood to go with it.
