You've heard about, attended, or at the very least followed all of the happenings from the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas year after year via social and print media. What you might have forgotten, or perhaps weren't aware of, is the Performance Racing Industry —otherwise known as PRI - trade show that takes place a little later in the year and happens to be the world's largest event dedicated specifically to the racing and performance aftermarket.

Truth be told, even with the hectic schedule and absolute mob scene at SEMA every year, we love attending. Being surrounded by any- and everything in the automotive world is awesome. Of course, the "automotive world" includes a pretty broad spectrum, so there are a number of things we could do without. At PRI, it's down to business in terms of racing and performance parts and services without the extras that tend to get in the way for a group like ours.

A three-day affair, PRI is similar to SEMA in that various brands set up camp in their respective booth spaces, show off their latest product,s and in some cases bring in a racecar to display. This year's event, held in Indiana, was bigger than ever, with over 1,200 companies taking part and 3,000 booths in action. Our newest triggerman, Nick Zambrano of Ososik Media, made his way to the show and captured some outstanding pics to show you what you missed.

Motovicity featured the Can-Jam Racing Subie in their booth to draw some attention. The ultra-aggressive, widebody dynamo was crowned the Speed Ring champ earlier this year, and if we're being honest it's one of the best-looking racecars we've seen in a while.

The J. Reynolds piloted Prayoonto Racing SFWD Integra looking vicious inside the Supertech booth - right next to the DC sat this K20 Supertech/Drag Cartel head combo display that was finished off nicely with some Downstar Inc. hardware.

Everyone was talking about this S2000 unveiled in the Vibrant Performance booth on social media, and for good reason. Designed and built by Jason Schmuck, it features one of the cleanest J-swaps you're likely see, along with a pair of Garrett snails, a custom Rywire harnesss, and a healthy dose of Vibrant's new titanium components. The attention to detail and clever layout is mind blowing.

And speaking of Vibrant titanium components, the company released a whole slew of Ti products to add to their massive array of fabrication-friendly components. You already knew that titanium materials are extremely light, but you might not know that they're also very tough and have a knack for resisting corrosion.

Optima Batteries showcased this slick black Evo on Forgeline wheels that, based on the door card, looks to have been an Optima Ultimate Street Car challenger.

Not familiar with the name Ramey Built? You should be. Shawn Ramey and crew were at PRI fresh off of their trip to Maryland where they blasted a few 7-sec passes - a first for an SFWD (small tire) competitor. And yes, at the end of the day, "it's still a Honda" - and it's still faster than you.

Being that PRI is intended specifically for the performance and racing crowd, you won't find an entire hall dedicated to wheels that range from high end to strikingly questionable. What you will find, however, is a very busy Belak Industries booth showcasing their latest. If you follow import drag racing at all, then you've no doubt seen these beauties in action.

This HPD Civic GT concept caught many off guard. Powered by a K24/K20 combo and mated to an S2000 transmission, the unique paint scheme on the driver's side contrasts the original "body in white" passenger side.
